German speaking Java Developer
MetaPack requires a German speaking Java Developer to support existing Java applications through code enhancement as well as through team involvement in re-design and product re-factoring. We would look for a person with an understanding of Object Oriented methodologies and with previous exposure to applications’ design concepts. One year’s server side Java development experience is essential along with good knowledge of testing practices. Proficiency in German is essential for the purpose of conversing with technical partners based in Germany. The successful candidate will need to have knowledge of XP programming and test methodologies, as well a computer science or any other numerical degree. Candidates with a close attention to detail will be successful in this role.

Bookkeeper and Administrator
MetaPack requires a Bookkeeper to carry out the accounting tasks up to production of Management and Audited accounts, including credit control responsibilities, and to undertake administrative tasks in the office management area. The role would suit candidates with previous experience in this role, who can work to a schedule and within a fast-paced environment. Candidates will need to be a Part Qualified AAT or part QBE. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Qualifications such as ECDL or MOUS is desirable but not essential, as is knowledge of the Sage accounting Package and Outlook CRM system. The role would suit candidates with previous experience in this role, who can work to a schedule and within a fast-paced environment.

Fraud Product Manager
MetaPack requires a Product Manager for the development, roll-out and growth of a new online fraud detection product. This product will serve the leading UK retailers and will compliment the parent company’s existing services to these retailers. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years work experience, including 3 years in the fraud detection industry, strong project management and analytical skills, together with customer and commercial experience. The Product Manager will lead a team of industry specialists in model building and data management.

Carrier Technical Analyst
The purpose of this role is to build and maintain MetaPack’s interfaces with existing and future parcel carrier partners. The successful candidate will research, document and deliver the required changes necessary to achieve two-way electronic communication with partner carrier systems. Candidates will need to have at least two years experience of system integration projects and methodologies and possess technical analytical experience, including the writing of documentation and technical specifications. The ability to write SQL DML to an excellent level is essential, as are good XML and XSL skills. We would look for a person with a technical degree or an equivalent level of experience. The role would suit candidates with previous experience in a solutions delivery role, who can work to a schedule and within a fast-paced environment.

IT Support Analyst
This role will suit candidates looking to work in a 1st level support environment where they would be responsible for the deployment of software solutions and customer specific configuration problems and changes. Knowledge of SQL/PLSQL scripts, previous experience with Oracle and experience of working within the Linux environment is essential. Candidates must be able to use their own initiative, multi-task and maintain rigorous standards. Candidates with a close attention to detail and a strong sense of customer satisfaction will be successful in this role. An ability to communicate clearly and articulately is essential. Previous customer service and logistics industry expertise is desirable. This role is not suitable for candidates looking to progress a career in a technical network, PC, server or hardware support environment.

Carrier Business Analyst
The purpose of this role is to provide experienced and knowledgeable insight that will support the business in dealings with parcel and mail carrier partners. The successful candidate will perform functional and technical analysis of new and updated carrier interface requirements, document/design/develop functional specifications and integrate interfaces according to agreed templates and timetables. Candidates will need to have three or more years experience in a related technical and analytical role. Knowledge of SQL, XML and XSL is essential. Knowledge of Unix/Linux is desirable. A degree in a relevant subject would be an advantage. Appreciation and experience of integration projects and integrated system environment(s) is desirable, as is a working knowledge of bar code symbologies. Experience in warehouse management, logistics or supply chains is desirable.

Implementation Analyst
The Implementation Analyst will be part of a team who manages customer go-lives on the MetaPack system. Among the tasks required of the successful candidate; they will guide new customers on startup process, enable information exchange by configuring file import using interface, write Macros where necessary and provide on-site support. Candidates will need to have Business Analyst skills in an operational environment and Customer interaction experience on a technical and non-technical basis. Knowledge of Carrier integrations or Carrier systems implementation into clients Warehouse operations, of order processing systems, SQL scripts and/or Excel Macros is desirable but not essential.

Senior Client Support Analyst
There are two opportunities for a technical problem solver. As Senior Client Support Analysts you will provide 2nd line support for MetaPack software. You will investigate, fix and test fixes related to platform and client issues. You will need to have: Three years UNIX experience and writing T-SQL/PL SQL scripts; Experience with SQL for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server; Experience with Linux; and Experience with Toad. Knowledge of the logistics environment and Exposure to J2EE enterprise systems is desirable but not essential.
